ONE DAY INLE TREKKING TOUR TO KALAW - PINDAYA

Exploring Inle Lake surroundings where stunning natural beauty and remote hilltribes can be visited in a short day trek- a unique experience of culture and nature. Traverse the rolling Shan hills, pass agricultural fields, and catch breathtaking views of the lake below. Stop in hill tribe villages, where the way of life has remained untouched by time.

There are plenty of fantastic day treks around the hills surrounding Inle Lake. The landscape is near Inle lake with rolling green hills alternating with farms and villages.

With your Vietlong guide you will transfer to the start point of your trek and spend the day hiking over undulating hills. As you walk along, pass through local hill tribe minorities and observe their unique cultures.

If hiking around Inle Lake, at times you will have sweeping views of the lake below, a different vantage point from which to appreciate the water's beauty.

En route, enjoy lunch in a local house. After your trek return to your Hotel.

INLE LAKE CHARITY TOUR

This tour provides you an opportunity to help an underprivileged family in the Inle Lake area. Transfer to Ming Tauk village and spend the morning assisting the community's residents as they build a new house for a local family. Spend the afternoon at a local school where the student's warm smiles and friendly greetings are sure to warm your heart.

After breakfast, your day begins with boat transfer to Inle-Lake. Although this region is filled with natural beauty, many of the Inle Lake in Shan State - Myanmar

families suffer from poverty and lack of hygienic living conditions. With the financial support of visitors and donations of supplies from the community, the locals are able to work together to support their neighbors. Spend the morning working with the community as they construct a new house for an underprivileged local family.

Enjoy the lunch at the village.

Then, visit to the Ming Tauk orphanage school and spend the day leisure playing together with local children in the village. All the children come from a very underprivileged area and a small donation of cash or school supplies will ensure a brighter future for these students. Late this afternoon transfer to your hotel by boat.

YANGON SIGHTSEEING TOUR BY NIGHT

... starting with a cruise along the Yangon River to see the sun set over the city. We then take you by trishaw to bustling Chinatown to mingle with the locals, a delicious barbeque dinner and one of the city’s best live music venues.

Around 4 pm, you will be picked up at your hotel for the start of your Yangon by Night tour. A short transfer will take you to Lanthit Oil Filling jetty (Near Hledan Bridge -No.2) where you will board a boat for a 1.5 hour evening cruise on the Yangon River. Enjoy the scenes of river life- with fishermen, local ferries and seagulls passing by- as the sun begins to set. Free flow local beer and local rum sours are severed, or we will offer a choice of soft drink or water.

Returning to dry land, local trishaws will be waiting to take you on a short tour of downtown. You'll travel along Strand Road and stop near Sule Paya for photos of the illuminated stupa before continuing on to 19th Street in the heart of China Town. Chinatown is a lively place in the evening and we'll take a short walking tour along 19th Street and its environs. Dozens of vendors set up satay stalls and other snack stalls here in the evening and it is a popular spot for locals to gather, have a drink and chat with friends. Sample some of the local treats as we walk through the bustling streets.

Around 19.30, we'll transfer by car to a restaurant of your choice (meal and drinks not included). We highly recommend a local Barbeque Restaurant where you can enjoy delicious grilled meats, seafood and vegetable dishes with traditional dipping sauces and side dishes. The atmosphere is often very lively, with draft beer being served and often karaoke or Burmese music being played. (Other options include fine French dining at La Planteur, Burmese and other Asian dishes at Monsoon or Chinese dishes at White Rice)

Finally we take you to Mr Guitar for a post-dinner drink. Mr Guitar is one of Yangon's most iconic bars, established years ago by Nay Myo Say, a famous Burmese musician and artist. The classy yet casual bar features live music and draws a crowd of hip locals and expatriates nightly.

After your night out on the town, your guide and driver will transfer you back to your hotel. (please note: guide and driver available until 11PM. After that time we will arrange for taxi transfer at client's expense)

ONE DAY YANGON TOUR TO COUNTRYSIDES

This tour cover the highlights surrounding the busy city of Yangon. Travel by ferry across the Yangon River to the town of Dhala where a trishaw ride exposes the natural beauty and local customs of this rural town.

After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the Nanthida Jetty to board a ferry to cross the Yangon River to Dhala (other side of the Yangon city). The boat is a double-decker, sturdy, durable boat. (15 minutes boat trip) As you board the jetty, observe the colorful street market where locals come to buy and sell their wares. The boat ride to Dhala takes 15 minutes and upon reaching Dhala, travel by local trishaw through the town, visit the Market, and chit-chat with local people.

The trip to Dhala is shutterbug's delighted as it is full of scenic spots and natural beauty. There is a wide gap between Yangonian life and the life of the people at Dhala. The most outstanding thing is that these charming people extend their hospitality with enormous smiles. Their life is lacking in many amenities however, mutual help and cooperation are concepts underlying a large number of social and religious customs prevailing in the Dhala area.

After visiting the village and market, proceed to the monastery to learn about monastic life in Myanmar. The monastery serves as a community centre where the people can do good deeds, gain eternal merit and find peace of mind.

Return by boat to Yangon, observing life along the river and reflecting back on your excursion to Dhala. Upon returning to the Yangon jetty, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

BAGAN DAY TRIP TO MOUNT POPA & SALAY

This tour will take a break from temple touring in Bagan to visit Mount Popa and Salay. Mount Popa is an extinct volcano which is believed to be home to the "nats", ancient Burmese animist spirits. Climb to the top for stunning views of the surrounding countryside before continuing to the village of Salay, an important Buddhist centre. Visit the ancient wooden monastery before returning to Bagan.

This full day trip takes you from Bagan to Mount Popa and on to Salay.

This morning, head southeast 48 km to Mount Popa, an extinct volcano with a height of 1518 m. Mount Popa has played an important role in Myanmar culture, religion and history since earliest times. Its shrine is dedicated to the worship of the 37 Nats, the Burmese ancient animist spirits. Learn about nats and nat worship as you climb the stairs to the top with your local guide. The view over the Myingyan Plain from the top of the volcanic peak is impressive (and the climb is optional!).

Lunch at the restaurant of Mt Popa Resort.

Continue in direction of Salay, known today as an important center of Buddhism with many active monasteries. Throughout its past, Salay created its own unique style of Bagan-era architecture and you can see one of the nicest and oldest wooden monastery halls at Yok Sone Kyaung monastery.

Transfer back to Bagan in the afternoon.

HALF-DAY YANGON BIKING TOUR

Travelling by bike around Yangon will give you unprecedented opportunities for local interaction as you make your way through small villages and fabulous countryside on the city’s outskirts. The 25km journey is easy enough to be enjoyed by all and sure to be an unforgettable experience.

Your guide will meet you at the hotel in the morning and after breakfast, transfer to the outskirts of town at what is referred to as 'Wireless Junction'.

Then it's time to hop on your bikes and pedal through the quiet streets of rural Yangon. Over the 25 kilometers, you'll be biking on flat roads with very little traffic. You'll pass by small, traditional villages and have time to stop and greet the friendly locals and the slow pace of the excursion allows you to stop and take photos as often as you'd like.

After the ride, you'll stop for a cup of tea or coffee at a local tea house. Tea shops are a central part of Burmese social life and sitting in the shop will be yet another chance to interact with the locals and enjoy the local atmosphere.

Midday you will transfer back to Yangon by car.
